Slack integration

The Slack package (Robomotion.Slack, v0.7.0) adds 9 nodes to Robomotion flows, including Receive Message, List Channels and List Users.

It runs on Windows, macOS and Linux robots. For AI agents, 8 of its nodes work as tools, and its Toolkit node exposes 9 tools at once.

What the Slack package does

Uses a Slack bot (a type of Slack app designed to interact with users) to send or receive messages, list channels or users etc.

Slack bot integration for workspace messaging and management. Provides sending and receiving messages, listing channels and users, uploading and deleting files. ReceiveMessage uses Socket Mode (requires app-level token) for real-time event listening with optional channel/user filtering. Most nodes support two auth modes: either a shared Connect session via client ID, or direct bot token credentials per node.

Slack nodes (9)

These are the node IDs an agentic flow or an RPA bot uses, exactly as they appear in the Flow Designer and in flow code. A trigger node has no input port and starts the flow when its event arrives. An agent tool node can also be called by an AI agent on its own. The Toolkit node hands an agent several of the package operations at once.

Platforms

The Slack package runs on Windows, macOS and Linux robots. Any Robomotion robot on these operating systems can run a flow that uses it.

How to install the Slack package

  1. Open Packages in the Robomotion Flow Designer.
  2. Search for Slack or Robomotion.Slack, then click Install on its card.
  3. The Slack nodes appear in the node palette for everyone in the workspace, because installation is per workspace.

From a terminal, the Robomotion CLI installs the same package:

robomotion install Robomotion.Slack

Templates that use Slack

9 ready-made templates use Slack nodes in their flows. Open one to start from a working flow.
