FFmpeg integration

The FFmpeg package (Robomotion.FFmpeg, v0.6.0) adds 8 nodes to Robomotion flows, including Create, Input and Output.

It runs on Windows, macOS and Linux robots. For AI agents, its Toolkit node exposes the package operations at once.

What the FFmpeg package does

FFmpeg package for performing media operations

Wraps FFmpeg, ffprobe, and ffplay command-line tools for media processing within flows. Uses a session-based pipeline model: Create initializes a session, Input adds media sources (files or URLs), Filter applies named FFmpeg filters (scale, overlay, concat, etc.) to streams, Output sets the destination file with optional encoding options, and Run executes the assembled pipeline. Probe inspects media files and returns format/stream metadata as JSON. Play plays media files using ffplay with options for volume, seeking, duration, window position, looping, and fullscreen. Options on Input, Filter, Output, and Run accept key=value pairs mapped to FFmpeg CLI flags. No authentication required.

FFmpeg nodes (8)

These are the node IDs an agentic flow or an RPA bot uses, exactly as they appear in the Flow Designer and in flow code. The Toolkit node hands an agent several of the package operations at once.

Platforms

The FFmpeg package runs on Windows, macOS and Linux robots. Any Robomotion robot on these operating systems can run a flow that uses it.

How to install the FFmpeg package

  1. Open Packages in the Robomotion Flow Designer.
  2. Search for FFmpeg or Robomotion.FFmpeg, then click Install on its card.
  3. The FFmpeg nodes appear in the node palette for everyone in the workspace, because installation is per workspace.

From a terminal, the Robomotion CLI installs the same package:

robomotion install Robomotion.FFmpeg
