OpenWeather integration

The OpenWeather package (Robomotion.OpenWeather, v1.1.0) adds 7 nodes to Robomotion flows, including Get Current Weather, Get Forecast and Get Air Pollution.

It runs on Windows, macOS and Linux robots. For AI agents, 6 of its nodes work as tools, and its Toolkit node exposes 5 tools at once.

What the OpenWeather package does

Access weather data, forecasts, and air quality information from OpenWeatherMap API

Integrates with the OpenWeatherMap API to retrieve current weather conditions, 5-day/3-hour forecasts, air quality/pollution data, and geocoding (city name to coordinates). All weather and air pollution nodes take latitude/longitude coordinates; use Geocoding Search to resolve city names first. Nodes support metric, imperial, and standard units, plus 10 languages for weather descriptions. Authentication is via API key credential, either through a Connect node or directly on each node.

OpenWeather nodes (7)

These are the node IDs an agentic flow or an RPA bot uses, exactly as they appear in the Flow Designer and in flow code. An agent tool node can also be called by an AI agent on its own. The Toolkit node hands an agent several of the package operations at once.

Platforms

The OpenWeather package runs on Windows, macOS and Linux robots. Any Robomotion robot on these operating systems can run a flow that uses it.

How to install the OpenWeather package

  1. Open Packages in the Robomotion Flow Designer.
  2. Search for OpenWeather or Robomotion.OpenWeather, then click Install on its card.
  3. The OpenWeather nodes appear in the node palette for everyone in the workspace, because installation is per workspace.

From a terminal, the Robomotion CLI installs the same package:

robomotion install Robomotion.OpenWeather
