Compression integration

The Compression package (Robomotion.Compression, v0.4.0) adds 7 nodes to Robomotion flows, including Archive, Unarchive and Extract File.

It runs on Windows, macOS and Linux robots. For AI agents, 6 of its nodes work as tools, and its Toolkit node exposes 6 tools at once.

What the Compression package does

Compresses, Decompresses, Archives and Unarchives files.

File compression, decompression, archiving, and extraction package. Supports compressing individual files or folders into zip, gzip, bzip2, xz, lz4, zstd, and brotli formats. Creates multi-file archives in Zip, Tar, and TarGz formats with configurable compression levels. Extracts entire archives or individual files from them, with support for password-protected RAR archives. Can inspect archive contents without extracting. No authentication required - uses optional RAR password credential for protected archives only.

Compression nodes (7)

These are the node IDs an agentic flow or an RPA bot uses, exactly as they appear in the Flow Designer and in flow code. An agent tool node can also be called by an AI agent on its own. The Toolkit node hands an agent several of the package operations at once.

Platforms

The Compression package runs on Windows, macOS and Linux robots. Any Robomotion robot on these operating systems can run a flow that uses it.

How to install the Compression package

  1. Open Packages in the Robomotion Flow Designer.
  2. Search for Compression or Robomotion.Compression, then click Install on its card.
  3. The Compression nodes appear in the node palette for everyone in the workspace, because installation is per workspace.

From a terminal, the Robomotion CLI installs the same package:

robomotion install Robomotion.Compression
